Computex Taipei 2006 Coverage Day 2 - A_DATA
Bluetooth 7 June 2006

A-DATA

A-DATA focuses on memory modules. At Computex, they showcase two extreme series of module. The first being the DDR2-900 Dual Kit. It consists of 2 x 1 GB modules that are rated to run up to DDR2-900 at CAS 5-5-5-18. It can also run at CAS 4-4-4-11 DDR2-667.

The more interesting module on show is this DDR3 module. While we do not see any mainboards that can run DDR3 at this moment, it shows that ADATA is ahead of everyone and is ready to deliver the next generation modules when chipset makers make DDR3 the standard.

The module on display is 1 GB module rated at DDR3-1333, 240 pin unbuffered DIMM, 64M x 8. Power rated at 1.5v +/- 0.1V. It will run at CAS 7.
