nForce 680i SLI

With the new 680i SLI mainboard, you can now manage your system BIOS all within Windows. That includes updating the BIOS , Clearing CMOS and setting other parameters.

Below is a screen shot of the CPU Configuration where you can disable one of the core of a dual core processor. This will help in overclocking the CPU to higher speed.

Another screen shot showing the CPU Vcore voltage can be adjusted up to a high of 1.80v. I wouldn't recommend a 1.8v unless you have proper cooling like water or LN2 ready.

With 680i SLI, NV claims that it will be 2.7x more overclockable compared to the current 590 SLI chip. That translates to approx. 525MHz FSB.

Currently, only two Taiwanese makers are buying boards off NVIDIA and are selling them direct. They are ECS and BIOSTAR. The rest are ODM Designed and will probably take some time before we see it in the market. The nForce 650i is the cheaper edition which supports dual PCie x8 and other optional features.
