Sony Ericsson W900i UMTS/GSM 900/1800/1900 Walkman Camera Phone Review (5)
Bluetooth 17 Feb 2005

Conclusion
Pricing US / UK

The Sony Ericsson W900i is the 3G answer to the W800i. With the best of best features from the K750i and W800i, it has higher data rate for better productivity for professionals. The external Memory Stick Duo up to 2GB and USB makes transfer of images and videos simply and faster than the conventional Bluetooth or Infra red.

The picture quality of the images are also pretty good. We tested the macro function which gives us pretty good images at a distance of around 8cm. On the audio front, I like the idea of being able to use my own ear phones instead of the one bundled with the package. I just find it very loose and uncomfortable. Audio is pretty loud which is as good as the W800i.

Video calls and streaming are smooth with my Singtel 3G network with other phones. Horizontal viewing of streaming videos also makes it easy for one to view streaming videos or edited programmes put into the the 2GB card for viewing using the display.

Overall, the W900i is very complete in functionalities. As a IT professional, I would definitely prefer if the phone comes pre-installed with software for me to view presentations, excel spreadsheets or word files. That would definitely make it a really complete feature packed phone.
