Benchmarks

We just installed catalyst 7.10 and did some simple tests. We noticed the performance of 7.10 is better than 7.9

In a test of Lost Planet at 1280x720, we scored 21 for Snow and 24 for Cave scene. This is an improvement over the 20 for Snow and 22 for Cave. With a single card HD2600XT we are getting a boost of up to 9% in performance for Cave and 10% for Snow scene.

In addition, Catalyst 7.10 allows you to run CrossFire without the need to hook up the CrossFire interconnect bridge. It is known as Software CrossFire. We wil investigate the performance of CrossFire without installing the bridge.

So, will there be any performance difference in other benchmarks? Let's read on.
