Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006

The ASUS P5E3 Deluxe WIFI @n board is paired up a pair of ASUS EAH2600XT graphics card. We tested the card in both Single and CF mode. Below are the results.

It can be seen that Cat 7.10 did improve the results of 3Dmark05 in CrossFire mode. In fact, in single card mode, the result dropped to 10006.

I was quite surprised by the results of running the Cards without crossfire interconnect. It scored 15232, that is only 200 points lower than using native CrossFire. In another words, software CrossFire is only merely 1.2% slower than the native CrossFire mode.

In 3Dmark06, the scores using Catalyst 7.9 and 7.10 does not differ by a lot. It is better for a single card but slower in Crossfire mode.

Again, we see that software CrossFire gives us a score of 8162 vs 8335 (using native CF). The difference is 2.1%
