Test Run - TV Recording

One of the main purposes of such TV card is to record the tv programmes so that you can watch it anytime later in the day or days later. We tried out the recording function. It is easily set up. We also check out the CPU utilisation for video viewing in real time and recording in realtime using the ATi RS600 board from ASRock (ASRock 4Core1333-FullHD).

In playback, it only took 10% cpu utilisation. Recording in MPEG2 only takes up an average to 17% of the CPU. That is pretty good.
