Firstly, lets take a look at the mainboard. On the top left corner, we can see the I/O chip, to its right is the audio codec. The board has 4 PCI, 2 PCIe x1 and 1 PCIe x16 slot. Close to the centre is a 24pin power connector and behind it is the GbE PHY. Towards the right is a 4 pin AUX, 4 phase power and we can see the two video connectors, a D-SUB and a DVI-D (white and blue) at the rear. behind the DVI-D interface, there is a jumper connector for connecting to a HDMI bracket.

On the bottom left hand corner, there is the power switch and reset switch, there is also the EPoX's famous debug led CP80P. This device makes testing simpler. Next to it is a floppy connector. The singe chip MCP68 (GF7050-630A) controls 4 SATA II ports and 1 IDE channel. It is attached with a golden coloured passive heatsink. To its right are 4 DDR2 DIMM slots and the AM2 socket just right above it.

The back panel consists of PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse, 4 USB ports, 1 VGA, 1 DVI, 1 x GbE LAN port and 8 ch audio ports.
