Conclusion

Better be late than never. That is definitely true for Foxconn. Although they are late to market this product, it will still be able to target different markets that have different needs. This is true because not all people will go for the more expensive DX10 cards considering that most games won't be DX10 ready. Moreoever, you would need updates to your OS to be able to tap the full power of it.

As we can see from the benchmarks, the results are comparable to the 7900GT card. The interesting fact is that, we are comparing it to a factory overclocked 7900GT from ASUS. The results are so close by just a few percentage points.

One thing I like is the packaging of the Foxconn 7900GS card. Although it did not come with any games, the package comes with the good tools that you would usually get from buying a mainboard. This is quite a surprise move I would say. The USB Game Pad is also of sturdy built.

The card also comes with the split connector for HDTV. With Purevideo, playing back of WMVHD and H.264 would be super clear. It is a pity that this card does not come with a HDMI edition with HDCP.

In Conclusion, if you are not waiting for a DX10 card and need the gaming performance, this card is definitely worth your penny.
