The board comes with 2 PCI, 2 PCIe x1, 2 PCIe x 16 (electrically) slots. On the top left corner of the board, you will see the Realtek ALC889 HD audio Codec , I/O controller. 2 GbE controllers are sighted near the audio ports. To the right is a 12 phase power cooled by the heatpipe. The heatpipe is interconnected to the centre of the board which cools the north bridge.

At the bottom left corner you will see the coloured front panel connector. There are 6 SATAII connectors controlled by ICH9R, the other 2 is by the Gigabyte labelled Jmicron JMB363 chipset which controls 2 SATA and 1 IDE channel.

On the back panel, you will find the PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse, S/PDIF digital and Coaxial out, 8 USB ports, 1 1394, 2 GbE and 7.1 ch audio ports. Additional USB ports and 1394 ports is provided via external brackets.
