3DMark05

In this test, we ran the card in default clk settings at default clk of 800/700 and o/c it to 850/720. The 3Dmark05 results were 9349 and 9748 respectively. We already expected the scoreline to be such as the HD 2600XT is meant to compete with the 8600GT and not the 8600GTS.

Judging from 3Dmark05 result, the performance of these two cards is just a few percentage difference in performance. When overclocked, both cards gets a similar score.

3DMark06

In 3DMark06, the HD 2600XT scored 4188 and 4374 for its default and overclocked CLK state. On the other hand, the Gigabyte 8600GT scored 4622 and 4978 when overclocked. We can see that 8600GT is at least 10% ahead in this test.
