ATI Radeon HD 4850 running in CrossFire with Phenom II X4 940
 

In this test, the 3GHz processor is paired up with a 2xATi Radeon HD 4850 graphics card. The system used 2x1GB DDR2-1066 memory running at CAS 5, 7-7-24, 2T. The BIOS used is the latest C1. The processor runs at 15x200Mhz =3GHz.

We tested a number of benchmarks. Let's take a look at 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage, followed by game benchmarks on the next pages.

The AMD Phenom II X4 940 (3GHz = 200x15) runs on DFI 790FX board with 2 pieces of AMD Radeon HD 4850 paired up to run CrossFire. Below is the score line.

From the 3Dmarkvantage, we can see that the results of Phenom II X4 940 is not too far off from the Intel QX9770 running on Intel P45 with 2GB DDR2-1066. The difference in 3Dmark vantage is only 5% for CrossFire (P11084 and P11679). The difference between Intel Core i7 940 and Phenom II X4 940 when running in CrossFire differs by 17% (P13043, P11084).

For 3Dmark06, the results of CrossFire between Phenom II X4 and Intel QX9770 is (16254, 17997) around 10% difference while the difference between Phenom II X4 versus Core i7 940 is 15% (16254,18808).
