ASUS P7P55D Premium Intel P55 Mainboard Review
-
SiSoft Sandra 2009 & Cinebench 10 Benchmarks
The ASUS P7P55D Premium is paired up with the ASUS EAH4870X2 TOP using Catalyst 9.8 drivers for Windows 7 RC. The system is powered by a Core i5 750 rated at 2.66GHz. In order to achieve DDR3-2000 XMP timing, the BCLK is raised to 200MHz and multiplier is decreased to 13x. Everything else is set to AUTO. Do take note that when BCLK is set to 200MHz, the ASRock P55 Deluxe Clock generator uses 199.5MHz whereas the Biostar is at 200.3MHz, the ASUS is at 200.6MHz. Will a 1MHz difference impact the results ? Let's first time a look at the memory bandwidth. With the Kingston HyperX RAM running XMP profile#1 C9-9-9-27-1T. From the chart, we can see that the difference isn't that much against the ASRock P55 Deluxe. It is somewhat lower than the Biostar though.
Arithmetic Processor test In the Arithmetic test, the ASUS P7P55D Premium, though having a higher bclk gets a lower score when compared to the other two boards.
Multimedia Processor test In the multimedia test, the ASUS P7P55D Premium outperform the two other boards. Looks like the board is optimised for multimedia.
Cinebench 10 In Cinebench 10, we can clearly see that ASUS P7P55D Premium is very optimised for rendering. The score is higher than the rest of the boards.
