Bluetooth 16 Nov 2009

At the press event, Samsung also shared with the media what we would be expecting in year 2010. Here are some new phones which will come to the market next year.

First is the Corby Pro. The Corby Pro is the slide out keyboard youth oriented phone. This phone model B5310 will make it to the markets in early 2010. The phone comes with nice colours, touchwiz and slide out keyboard. It supports threaded SMS and cmoes built in with twitter and facebook. It is a 2.5G phone supporting EDGE/GPRS, Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz).

Next on the list is Blue Earth. This Green phone is made from recycled materials and is solar powered. It has 3.5G and a 3.15 mega pixel camera. It supports TouchWiz, WiFi, Bluetooth and FM radio.

There will be more Samsung android phones in 2010. Although no models are mentioned, Samsung said that they will skip v1.6 of Android OS jump  from v1.5 to v2.0 of the OS which is more customisable. I personally suspect the upcoming phone should be the  Galaxy Spica i5700.

Apart from Android, Winston Goh of Samsung described the Samsung bada. Goh mentioned that new mobile platform's SDK is now being pumped to local developers. Samsung has high hopes for it's own phone operating system and Goh also mentioned that the first phone based on bada will be announced in the first half of 2010.
