Scythe Silent Box Noise Reduction Fanless 3.5" HDD Case 2/3
Bluetooth 24 Jan 2004

Silent Box

Installation

The package contains the Installation Guide, screws, power cable extender (for both SATA and IDE HDD). The HD case comes with a heatlane, paddings and Gel Sheet.

1.    Firstly place the 3.5" HDD into the case. If you use the slimmer Maxtor HDD, you can use the padding provided in the package to raise it higher so that the exposed electronic portion is almost close to the top as we will need to allow the heatlane to touch the gel sheets later.

2.     Apply the gel sheets to cover the opened portion of the HDD. This gel sheets help to transfer the heat to the Heat lane which is on the Silent Box Cover.

3.    The silent Box Cover is place on top of the Silent Box. It is important to ensure that the Heatlane must touch the gel sheets beneath it.

4.    We are done by installing the Heat Radiation Plate Cover. Tighten it with screws.

5.    This is the final installed Heat Box with our Maxtor HDD.
