MSI PC2PC Bluetooth (2)

Transceiving module: MSI™ exclusive Bluetooth-enabled bracket. This is the transceiver module that needs to be installed onto the mainboard. In our example, we used the MSI 845E Max mainboard. The connector plugs directly onto the Mainboard occupying the space of one PCI slot.

Tranceiving Key: allows bluetooth connection to any devices with USB host interface. We hook this up to our Shuttle Barebone system for the performance test.

The package comes with CDROM for installation. Just a note on the installation procedure; ensure that the bluetooth USB icon does not have an exclamation mark after installing it. If Yes, install manually by right clicking and select to search CD-ROM for drivers

Once it's done, The system will prompt you to reboot the systems. The same software must be installed on both machines that needs to communicate.

There are various settings for setting the client and server. A PC can be configure as a client or a server for another PC. There are various services that must be enabled at the PC that is to be run as server. The client will query for nearby nodes and shows the services available for connectivity. If there are multiple server/client combinations or master/slaves combinations, A scatternet is formed.
