Dual Channel SiS 655 Review (2)
4 184pin DDR allows up to 4GB of PC266/PC200 DDR. Each slot
can support up to a max of 1GB. Single Sided or Double Sided modules can
be installed. RAM should be installed in pairs to take advantage of Dual Channel
DDR technology. Noticed the 2 banks are put perpendicular to each other.
Take notice of the +12V connector which is surrounded by 4 capacitors. I have a
hard time looking for it.
1 AGP, 5 PCI slot. Realtek ALC650 audio chipset 5.1 channel. LAN port supported by Realtek 8100BL LAN controller supporting
10/100Mbps LAN.
Beneath the heatsink you see below is the South Bridge SIS 963. This board is
not equipped with SATA or RAID. It comes with 2 BIOS (Die Hard BIOS) which is
selectable for booting. 2 IDE channels for hooking up 4 ATA devices (ATA133)
SiS 655 chipset and SiS 963 South Bridge
