Microsoft Office 2003 Professional (2)
Overclocker 19th Nov 2003

Installation

It took me around 5 minutes to get the Office 2003 installed onto my AMD AXP 2400+ System. The first thing I did was to run Outlook as that is where I rely on for news and information. I was greeted with a welcome message and it ask me to activate my Office 2003, otherwise it will be deactivated in 50 runs.

Outlook 2003

Outlook 2003 imported my messages in Outlook Express and also created the respective email accounts. Everything is in and no mail went MIA.

A new design which automatically customises itself depending on your resolution. The panes looks quite different from the Outlook 2002 which I used. There are 3 panes which shows the favourite folders, all mail folders, Inbox and last column shows the actual contents. You can re-lay it to suit your taste.

You can go to Tools->Option and this is where you could set the Spam Filter. As I do receive lots of spams, I set it to High so that it can capture most of the rubbish mail that eats up my disk space. This feature is quite similar to the one you find on Hotmail.com

I also noticed a new feature which is known as Search Folders. This feature auto searches mails that you put as follow up. It also indexes all the large mails (attachments) and Unread mail. In this mail, you wouldn't miss out any important mails or you may delete all unwanted huge attachment mails instantly by selecting all within the separate folders.
