abit FATAL1TY AN9 32x Benchmarks 2/8
Bluetooth 18 July 2006

Benchmarks

In this test, we measured the CLK used by the boards. All the boards are running in SPD mode with 2 modules of Corsair DDR2-800 running at CAS 5, 5-5-15, 2T. In this "shootout", we have ECS KA3 MVP Extreme based on the ATi RD580 chipset, abit FATAL1TY AN9 32x, Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H and ASUS M2N32-SLI are based on NVidia's 590 SLI chipset, ASRock AM2V890-VSTA based on the VIA K8T890 CF stepping, ASRock AM2XLI-eSATA2 based on the ULi M1697 chipset.

The 4 boards defaults to different frequencies which is all within 1MHz difference. All boards that have auto overclocking features are turned off so that results are fair.

With that in mind, we take a look at the memory benchmark scores using Sandra 2007. As the memory controller is built within the CPU, the differences aren't that great. The abit AN9 32x runs at a high clk at 202MHz, this might result in a high score in the memory benchmarks. Will it affect the other benchmark results?
