Interview

6) Will USI be handling the RMAs worldwide?

ABIT’s existing service centers will be supplemented by USI’s excellent service network. Thus, ABIT’s award-winning after-service will be extended and improved even further.

7) Is ABIT going to be concentrated on retail boards? What about graphics cards?

We have always had a strong presence and brand recognition in the retail channel, and we will continue with this focus in the future. Our graphic cards in particular have won numerous awards and recognition for performance and innovation, and we are very proud of what we’ve managed to achieve in a relatively short period of time. With the new merger, we are looking to focus on our core motherboard business for the time being. Once the processes with USI are smooth, we can revisit our other product lines.

8) Will ABIT be designing USI OEMs in the future? Is USI-ABIT going to retain the ABIT name or change it to USI brand?

It’s still a little bit too early to say how far ABIT’s R&D efforts will be incorporated into the OEM-side of USI. ABIT’s strength has always been in the retail channel, and this is one of the reasons for USI’s interest in the ABIT motherboard operation in the first place. The ABIT brand will stay the same – no changes there.

9) Will ABIT still be concentrating on gaming events? What will happen to ACON?

ACON and the Fatal1ty brand of products have been great successes for ABIT, and ACON has become one of the major events in the world of eSports. ABIT will continue to support the gaming community, and we will start local qualifiers for ACON6 right after Computex, in June.

Thanks for sharing with us and we look forward to the new products soon.
