Review (1)
Sony Ericsson
W900i Sony Ericsson W900i is the first 3G phone from Sony Ericsson that incorporate the best features of the W800i phone we reviewed last year. Not only you can use it for streaming 3G speeds for downloading, video streaming, conferencing, you can also use it as a standalone MP3 walkman. With 470 MB inside and expandable memory of up to 2GB using Memory Stick Pro Duo, you can have hours of your music wherever you go. In addition, the phone also comes with a ear piece which doubles up as FM stereo radio for listening to audio broadcasts. The audio plug can also be attached to your favourite earpiece or hook it up to your speakers. Similar to K750i, it comes with a 2.0mpixel Auto Focus built in camera for vivid shots. The camera also has 8 x digital zoom, 8 x playback zoom, picture light and a Horizontal Camera User Interface. The W900i comes in the Swivel Action form factor. Compared to the S700i, the swivel is smoother and you can swivel it either way. W900i has quite a big display screen of 240x320 in 262K colours. For entertainment, the phones comes with Java MIDP 2.0 support. There is also Mediaplayer which supports AAC, MP3, 3GP and MIDI playback. Connectivity wise, the W900i supports Bluetooth, infra red and USB connectivity which I can use to transfer images easily. The phone supports external memory stick duo for storage of multimedia clips. Alternatively, you can transfer files from WAP sites using the high data speed of UMTS.
